Hi all,

I'm in what should hopefully be my final year of my PhD. Working alongside former political prisoners, I am exploring the meanings, motivation and significance of making private memories of state violence part of a contested public history.

My main areas of concern involve the conflict in and around Northern Ireland, but I am also deeply interesting in any research which emerges from the developing scholarly intersection between human rights, criminology and social justice.

Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone-

I am in my third year at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.  I am currently in the process of writing my dissertation proposal- which I hope is accepted this June.   I am looking at how the combination of one's intergroup attitudes combines with realistic and symbolic threats when making decisions about immigration policy.

I have a background in both psychology and criminology and up to this point most of my work has been on stalking but immigration attitudes fascinate me and while the topic is new for me, all my work in stalking has been on attitudes as well.

I wish us all the best of luck!

Hello people and especially new members!

It's been a while since last post. Anyone willing to animate this board by sharing some info on their PhD?

Have a good day,

Hi All,

if any of you is interested in desistance, reintegration and related topics, I have just created a group called "Ex-offenders: desistance, persistence and reintegration.."

The link:

http://www.crimspace.com/group/desistance

The main idea is to gather people with same interests and share news, research results, ideas and, in general, have a confrontation on what has been or should be done.

I hope to see you there!

Best,

Fabio
