At the top of an education group an educator is sitting, he is a member of the staff and he does mainly social work in very unique sense. The educator is responsible for all administrative questions which rely on the prisoner. There is only one unit for the women placed in maximum security regime in Hungary. If a severe problem occurs to these inmates there is no other place in the country to place them. For instance if they attack a prison officer violently in the prison, on the next day they have to stay in the same prison with the same staff. During a conference on humane criminal justice I received a phone call, but I could not answer it. At the end of the lunch break I called back, and an excellent criminologist was on the other end of the line, and she told me, that recently there was an HIV and HCV blood sample testing in a Hungarian prison among volunteer inmates.
